I have 30 week lead times for new products. Refurbishment is about to be busy right now.

We have some professional level rednecks out here.
We get by.
We get by.

Actually, killing it.
I work in a small specialty chemical division of a top 3 oil giant and am in operations.
We’ve had some adversity with raw materials but we’ve found ways to get by with little to no adverse impact on production. Im not sure if we’re paying a premium or not on raw materials to make sure we’re getting a consistent supply but it wouldn’t surprise me.
According to last years metrics we’re killing it. And evidently we’re stealing customers from competitors that aren’t able to produce as consistently as we are.
It has been interesting to see how efficient we were despite having barebones engineering and management support, while also dealing with our own manpower issues due to covid/quarantine
I think we have damn good operators and I think that’s why we’ve done so well

Lead times getting longer and management wanting things done faster. It’s hell.

My company is shipping half assembled machines to my customer that I have to assemble on site because our production line is so backed up from shortages and my customer buys millions of dollars of machines every year and needs them delivered by end of year. Last 2 Christmases/New Years have sucked to come back from due to the sheer volume of extra work outside of my service contract for this company.
My cubicle is next to one of the industrial suppliers cubes and his job sounds worse than mine.

Subcontractor for the big tract home builders. Can't get tile/lvp/vinyl/carpet/pad. Our vendors can't get raw materials, then plants have labor issues, then transportation can't get it to us, etc. Meanwhile they're selling homes faster than they can build them, so WE are the problem.
