I try to remember the less talented players are players Nikki recruited hard. It just shows she had no business getting 10 years! Mulkey has to rebuild the front court. Not sure gusters is in shape enough to play 30+ minutes. They’re so improved though. Missouri will be tough.

Lol Carla Berry. Wonder what happened to her. She’s the one that snitched out Pokey. Btw did they ever find evidence she actually did anything? She resigned and it never really came up again. Never really got to hear Pokeys side.

Missouri is weird. They beat SC but almost lost to Auburn in OT and they were smoked by the Missouri St we beat earlier this year. It’s at home though, LSU has a chance to start conference play 5-1

Kim wasn’t poor mouthing; she was correct that we could have played decently and still started SEC play 0-3.

Fantastic that we ran that gauntlet 2-1, are now 3-1, and have a chance to extend the streak.

Was Emily Ward hurt or in Covid protocol? I did not see her on the bench.

And I’m sure she would have picked up a couple minutes on the floor in garbage time.

Whoops. Sorry. Just noticed this in the Advocate.

quote:

Reserve guard Emily Ward has missed the past three games after injuring her knee against Samford Dec. 27. No surgery is scheduled but she is out “for the foreseeable future,” LSU sports information director Grant Kauvar said.

I know Ward would not be playing crucial minutes, but here’s hoping for a speedy recovery.

Skip Bertman is a hall of fame coach. But, he wasn't that great of an AD. You didn't hear anything else about Pokey because he made sure "that girl" Pokey never had a chance to recover from the debacle. He hired that drunk Van Chancellor to take over. Van wasn't any better than Nikki by the time they ran him off.
But if we're honest, Pokey probably crossed lines and got caught.

I do agree they talked Chancellor up as much more of a coach than he really was.

After Pokey’s (justified) departure, the decline started immediately and Chancellor contributed as much to it as Fargas.
