Philly Cheesesteaks have always disappointed me.
I went to Philly this past summer and went out of my way to try one of those and what a major disappointment. I have tried much better ones here in S FL.

Same here.. whatever the famous street is (South St?) has two well known cheesesteak places, I tried one of them and was underwhelmed…. The other thing i learned , and this was yrs ago, was to never visit Philadelphia on a Monday.. it was the only day we had off, and EVERYTHING was closed , all the museums and everything else we tried to do.. literally the only things we saw were the Liberty Bell (big deal, a bell with a crack in it) and the Rocky steps.. ok, the Rocky steps were pretty cool.
