The "Keep Coach O" crowd is the primary reason Louisiana is such a shite show

Politically and economically speaking...
Your attitudes are indicative of why this state hasn't moved forward in 30 plus years. You're all so God damn petrified that an "outsider" might come in and change something up, and you'll be forced to accept a new line of thinking.
You want to keep coach O because he doesn't intellectually frighten you. Keeping a guy because he caters to your insecurity doesn't qualify him to be a head coach. Simply put, he's familiar. He's something you can identify with. Hell, he might even eat some turtle gumbo with yaw.
It's the same reason you've elected the same shite-arse, corrupt politicians for the past... hell ever... and it's the same reason our entire shitty economy is circulated around the "awl field".
You reject any sort of industry, economy, or line of thinking that requires stepping outside of your antiquated line of thought, and that's why this state will never move forward.
You're fueling a fire that will lead to LSU making a shite hire, and back to being a mid-tier program.

I had one of my family members at thanksgiving talk about not liking Aranda and how the defense could do better. I didn't say anything bc it was so ridiculous. Then I heard him talk about keeping coach O. This is a good example of a lot of our fan base. They have no clue what's really going on other than coach O is an energetic cajun and they'll support him via social media. This is why Miles lingered on.

I am a native New Yorker, have a degree from The Old War Skule, have lived abroad and in numerous states and I see the common sense appeal of Coach O. It's not because he appeals to a parochial insecurity, it's because he's likeable, is a legendary recruiter, is respected in his industry and did a reasonably good job "flipping the script" after Les was fired.
Your concerns about Coach O have merit but you over-stated your case. And came across as insufferably condescending to LSU fans in the process.
