I’m good with this hire. Next year will be very difficult for him to have a lot of success but years 2-5 should start getting really good. Curious if he fights to sign Jeanty

It'll be interesting for sure. Love that he's young and could be a long term option
Really happy we went outside the organization here we needed a fresh start

As a Cowboys fan you should not be very excited. His reputation is built on being an offensive guru but he's far from one.

He was universally hated amongst Cowboys fans as OC and his tenure lasted a year longer than us fans wanted.

Chargers season was not good at all. If you want to say it was a bad situation with Staley fair enough.

Eagles, he has the most talented offense in the NFL and yet Jalen Hurts has taken a step back.

He was significantly worse in 2023. So no.

His passing yardage has because he's played 2(really 3) less games, their defense is better, and they've run for 1000 more yds this season. His completion %, qb rating, yards per attempt have gone up.

Total offense rankings under Kellen Moore at Dallas:
2019 1st
2020 14th (Dak broke his ankle in game 5)
2021 1st
2022 11th (Dak missed 6 games with thumb injury)

Make of that what you will, but I'd say Dallas fans are dumb.

How'd that work out for us in the playoffs

Cmon man everyone knows all those numbers came from running up the score on sub par team

This can be said about the Cowboys for the last 30 years.

Which did not change after Moore left. We all know that is a Dak problem.

Didn’t McCarthy fire him because they scored to quickly and he wanted to slow the game down? I can live with that problem

Anyone have an idea of who would be his DC candidates?

I’m from Washington, the state, not swamp. Kellen’s father turned small wine grape farming town Prosser into a football powerhouse. They even played up an enrollment level, and still won titles. As a player, my school was locked into the state semifinals and many of us players and coaches attended the other quarterfinal game to scout the potential opponent. Prosser, despite being on the opposite side of the bracket was there too, all donned in Prosser Mustang track suits and each armed with a camcorder (‘twas mid 90’s, baw). Dude was born to be a head coach.

I like the thought of it, but hard to be optimistic with Loomis still employed.

I think he is a good choice. He is young but has experience and has mostly succeeded.

I would much rather give Moore the job than another retread who is touted as "already with head coaching experience ".

Total offense is super misleading, how did they preform in the playoffs? Just say you can’t grasp or conceptualize football at anything higher than a middle school level lol

Such a great hire if it happens. Moore is an offensive genius

Cowboys
—that was the problem, not Kellen Moore

Same. I think I would rather McCarthy in this situation because he was able to win in Dallas with Jerrah running things so I figured he could do similar here.

Really hopeful that Moore can run things how he wants here….or at least not behind the 8 ball constantly.
