Where should we theoretically be? John Harbough? Bill O'Brien? Chip Kelly? Pete Carroll? STFU

Freeze looks like a big pussy. Sounds like a doofus like Les, and I think it's been obvious to a lot of people recruiting has been shady since he's been at Ole Miss

What has Jim done in the Pac 12? He's out recruited most schools over there yet has shite to show for it.

No thanks.

Muschamp was a walk on. Frost was the qb on a national title team.

Muschamp isn't exactly the winner Frost is.

I like Mike Leach if others are off the table. Only bad thing is he is 54. Guy can get production out of a QB.

I second the motion. Leach would really turn this offense into a force in the SEC. Look at what he's done at TT and WSU with considerably less talent. The guy is smart, can adapt and knows how to get the most production out of his players.

We just need to make sure to get a good DC or maybe keep Orgeron, move him up to DC and have him help with the recruiting in LA.

I think Leach would be an awesome hire. But they'll probably try and get either some old SEC retread like Tuberville or someone from the Saban tree.

With Leach we will never recruit a good RB ever again.

We need some middle ground. I personally prefer to run Chip's offense.

Top 5 running team but can throw it around and keep teams off balance.

Not really. He has shown he knows how to put together a successful offense. He is extremely smart (member of Mensa). There is a reason Houston is throwing so much money at him.

As for the Sumlin thing. His offense is more run oriented than Sumlins. I don't think it's fair to equate him to Sumlin just because he coaches at Sumlins former school.

My fear about a hire like this is the DC position. If we hire Herman I see our defense suffering a year or two until he can persuade a top DC to come work under him. I don't want a make shift staff, with inexperience at the HC position. I want the complete package or new coordinators under Miles.

Stop with the Freeze talk. He has 4 in-game decisions this year that only Les Miles could love. 2 of them cost him the Memphis game. 1 should have cost him the Arky game until a blocked FG bailed him out temporarily. The last was against Bama, but it was probably worst of all. I've never seen anyone call for a review on a favorable spot, lose yards, still go for it, and not make it. We're trying the replace Les Miles here, not hire a younger version with a tempo offense.

If Jimbo won't come (which is obviously likely)
1. Fedora
2. Mora
3. Mullen
4. Wittingham
5. Fuente
6. Herrman

This is a realistic list. None of these guys have the exposure, facilities, and easy access to recruits that LSU has in one place where they currently are. All are proven to some degree. The LSU is some degree of a step up for any of them.

You get past this point, and there are plenty of risky guys. Petrino (dry heave), Kiffin, Smart, Frost, etc.

I kinda like Fedora or Fuentes if we couldn't land a monster like Chip or Jimbo. Maybe Houston's head coach?

Fuente has a good qb and has parlayed it into 1 good win against ole miss and then beat a bunch of Tulane's and smu's. Every other ranked team he has played, including his fellow conference teams, he has lost to.

He literally has 1 really good win in his career

The thing with Jimbo and why I don't think he leaves FSU is his family. I'm not gonna pretend to know his life, but if he's no longer with his wife and they have a son with a rare disease I doubt he's gonna move unless they all go with him.

I like Fuentes and Herman a bit better than Fedora. I like Herman's connection to Urban, and Fuentes has had more than one successful year. I realize Herman has only been HC for one year, but he is apparently a Mensa member and very bright/outgoing. Should play well in the SEC on the recruiting trail.

Chip will be in Philly for another year.

I was reading about the disease. Apparently one usually dies by age 30. Doesn't the wife have custody though?

Why not Brent Venables? Is it just assumed he's all k-state when Snyder retires? Dude has had a great defense everywhere he's been and seems like he would actually let the OC call the plays.
