Jimbo is not a real option.....

LSU passed on him when they chose Les and Jimbo is happy where he is.

No clue.

I think when we look at possible replacement for Les Miles, I want someone who knows Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida HS coaches and players. I want someone with Head Coaching experience. And a coach with a personality that won't run off some of our better staff (Frank Wilson, Ed O, etc...)

Steele, Bradley Dale, and Cam can EAD.

Agreed. I think Chip Kelly is more likely then Jimbo Fisher.

First choice for me is Kelly. Next Mullen. Then Larry Fedora or Mike Gundy. I also think Ken Niumatalolo is worth an interview.

Mark Dantonio - One of the highest paid coaches in the NCAA. Also has a heart condition.
Art Briles - Has never left the state of Texas. Why would he leave Baylor?
James Franklin - Is from PA, is now at his absolute dream job at PSU.
David Cutcliffe - Great hire for Duke.
Justin Fuente - Could be a good hire.
Tom Herman - Could be a good hire.

Why are people saying that Jimbo is not an option but Chip Kelly is? Is he leaving or being fired from Philadelphia?

They aren't.

They're using Chip Kelly to tell you how much of a chance yall have at Jimbo. Which is very low.

Agree at the moment these 2 are legit candidates. I still think we had a big fish on the hook last week and whoever that is will be announced shortly after Miles is relieved of his duties after the A&M game.

No, I actually believe Chip Kelly may leave Philadelphia if a college team makes the right offer. He's becoming more unpopular there despite two 10-win seasons, and because he let LeSean McCoy and DeSean Jackson go, he's been labeled a racist by the usual suspects because he's supposedly "afraid of strong black men."

At some point, you have to wonder how much more of this he wants to take. If LSU made him a generous offer, I think he might listen.

I'm not saying you're wrong, but aren't you a little worried about his lack of experience and the fact that Sumlin did well at Houston and is mediocre at A&M...

Given the choice, I'd rather get Justin Fuente.

Fuente rebuilt Memphis from absolutely nothing to a competitive program. The talent at Memphis is laughable, but Fuente is still getting the job done.

Herman has ONE year of HC experience. His inexperience worries me.

Not really. He has shown he knows how to put together a successful offense. He is extremely smart (member of Mensa). There is a reason Houston is throwing so much money at him.

As for the Sumlin thing. His offense is more run oriented than Sumlins. I don't think it's fair to equate him to Sumlin just because he coaches at Sumlins former school.

What about Hugh Freeze? Put him at a school like LSU in a state that produces top talent. Plus he can beat Alabama.

If I was LSU and made a move I would go after Jimbo. Proven head coach, great recruiting and develops quarterbacks and offense. I wish Auburn had went after him.

I think Mullen is more likely. Ole Miss has the potential to be a prestigious job. I think Freeze may be more inclined to stay put.

Mullen is Miles. Freeze has a pretty good offense. And the Landshark D. Seems to care about both sides of the ball.

Just wondered why his name is not being mentioned.
