McNeese, Do the right thing. #HudspethSeason

In 2019, Mark Hudspeth took Austin Peay to the FCS Quarterfinals in his first year (after he inherited a Governors team with a losing record).
It has been 5 years since the "allegations". If Hugh Freeze got a second chance, why not Mark Hudspeth?
He knows the region from his time at ULL. He's won at the FCS level.
Give me a reason (besides your daughter/sister/wife/girlfriend lives in Lake Charles) that Hudspeth shouldn't be brought into to Make McNeese Football Great Again.

When you say "allegations" you'll have to be more specific. Are you referring to the academic fraud and paying players at ULL, his dumping his wife for a coed at UNA, or his sleeping with a player's mother at Austin Peay?

Well he did get a second chance...then he went to a high school job.
Dude was great for coming into our program at the time he did and showing Acadiana and the country that a football coach could win at UL. And the rah rah stuff worked great when he had a bunch of good, disciplined Bustle recruits who just needed someone to kick them in the arse rather than be a perpetual "everything is great" old cheerleader like Bustle was on the sidelines.
However, once Bustle's character guys graduated and the team started filling with a bunch of Hud's guys...it went downhill fast.
Maybe he could bring some energy to revive McNeese's program, but they'll have to hope he's left those other antics behind.

Hud should just be a 1-2 year mercenary for teams. Let him get the team off the ground and then hire a more sustainable coach.

Oh yeah- the David Saunders ACT program he developed for Ole Miss where he'd send kids to take the test at Jerrell Poe's high school

Incredible that he had to cheat at ole miss when the school's minimum ACT requirement is still only an 18. Dont believe me? Look it up.

The loss of the recruits that he was able to sign due to the shady ACT testing site ( academic fraud) in Mississippi didn't help. The loss of Bustle's recruits, Mississippi recruits & the probation that followed did him in.
