I really hope you’re right... in my opinion it’s gonna be Freeman or bust for Coach O... because I have very little faith in any of the other names that have been mentioned.
Freeman’s ceiling certainly seems to be immeasurable as a coach, and it just so happens that the same can be said about the players’ potential on LSU’s defensive roster.
And with Coach O proving over time that he truly does let the Coordinators coach, I don’t see many downsides to coming to LSU, from Freeman’s perspective. We just had arguably the worst defense ever to wear the purple and gold, so he would even be given a little bit of a grace period to get shite together.
Seems like a no brainer from both parties.
Not to mention he could do well and put himself in position to take the reigns whenever Coach O retires/is released.
Seriously tons of potential opportunities for Freeman in Baton Rouge.
Fingers crossed big time on this one.

What a stupid arse comment.
If LSU does not hire Freeman it has nothing to do with O. It will have everything to do about money.
Aranda hitched his wagon and got a head-coaching job. Brady hitched his wagon and got an NFL offense of coordinator job. LSU is a top five national program with talent to succeed.
If you do your job well, it will catapult you to your next big gig. LSU is not just a job you turn down thinking you will get a job as good or better in the future . The only reason you would ever turn a job like LSU down is due to money or lack their of. The coaches in the past 20 years that have turned LSU down have went on to be fired and struggled at other places.

What time is the announcement, motherf*cker?

I can't believe that we are not making a strong run at Arnett.

Not until their bowl game.

Meh, said we would land him today. Not that an announcement would be made today. I’ve heard from a source outside of here that spoke to him a couple days ago and we’re going to again today. That source also told me however that he didn’t think we would land him. But Adam didn’t say they’d announce today, at least not in the OP.

So facing spread offenses is how we judge coaches?
Well, he faced them alright.. and he was the worse coach against the spread
As a DC he was one of the best in the country against spread offenses with lesser talent

I really hope this wasn’t fake
Freeman is the best hire. And that’s what the PLAYERS deserve. The best.
That’s also what the fanbase and the boosters deserve, because that’s what they were promised. The best.
I understand you can’t always get the best. But with us not playing in a bowl and with us starting our search a little bit ahead of most other schools looking for coordinators, and with this being LSU, there is no excuse this time. Not that I give any excuses for O to begin with, but this time O needs to strike gold.
I feel like this is a very pivotal time for the football program, not just O’s job.
I’m not gonna melt if it’s Mason, based on what I’ve read (for what that’s worth) I do believe Mason could do really well...
but the point is, the players especially, as well as the fans and boosters who’ve backed O deserve the best and Freeman is far and away the best realistic option.

Freeman has a better opportunity to be a HC being a coordinator for an elite SEC school than he does in Cincinnati. Look at Aranda. Brady got a nfl job. Bama makes coordinators HC's all the time. We can offer more money than cincinnati period

You do realize I was referring to Mason. Not Freeman.

Go look at Mason’s defensive ranking at Stanford when he was playing against
Chip Kelly and Helfrich’s spread offenses, Kiffin and sark’s offenses, Leach’s offenses
