That seems like a No-Go as far as OU making LR a huge offer to stay. I would think that their Admin would at least want to float that notion to squelch the noise. Look at Baylor and other schools making it known that extensions are on the table.

Im sure the contract they both signed has a clause stipulating the start of his duties will be after the season. Nothing stopping Riley from signing with LSU now as has been reported, yet continuing to coach his team until the last game. Also if Scott has his signature on a 8/96 contract, hes perfectly fine waiting until OU is done with this year. Its an 8 year contract, hes not worried about 2 weeks or even 2 months

He's stating the obvious. If OkST wins then we most likely get Riley. If OU wins then this shite drags out longer. They win Big12 championship and UGA beats Bama then they are most likely in the playoff which means we wait even longer and possibly move on.

It’s not an almost, it’s done. I mentioned that Woodward and Riley met early this morning, and that was to iron out the details apparently.
