Best post in a while. He is 19 but he has started 15 games or so. We can not use this as an excuse anymore.

My take on it.. the TAF does not want to buyout Crowton cause they sense a possible need to clean house in December

good point, maybe TAF will not let (buy out Crowton) Miles fire Crowton because they think it will be easier to get rid of everyone if Crowton fails again.

True Freshman Gilbert of Texas is young. He performed at a pretty good level in a high-stress situation and did well. More than I could say for the "young" QB's we have on staff now. IMO

Miles believes Billy Gonzales, with Crowton, will solve the problem.

So Crowton now needs another coach to hold his hand to make his "genius" system work? That's the most ridiculous thing I've read yet (apart from Crowton blaming players for not executing)...

so you don't think better workers can make a manager more successful?? a good manager looks for people who can offset their individual weaknesses. (not taking up for Crowton, or Miles, just saying your premise is false)

He is still dumb and incapable of reading defenses though.

After listening to Newman and Gary every day this week, I just couldn't do it this morning.

So he does not want to change the system so that JJ has to learn a new system?? JJ can't be taught this system!! SO, let's move on!

I consider players young when they're not upperclassmen with double digit starts under their belts.

No question in my mind that Studrawa is the problem, or at least the most significant problem of our coaches.

We are not lacking talent. We choose to have offensive line problems. The talent is sitting on the bench and the coaches won't put them in. Three times the coaches have replaced Hitt with Hurst during the game because Hitt was not performing well. They refuse to just let Hurst start. We don't know who else on the bench is better than the starters. This team will never reach its potential with its best players on the bench. These coaches won't play the best players even when they know the guy on the bench is better.

You replace the DC and get to blame 2008 on the defense.

You replace the OC and get to blame 2009 on the offense.

That means 2010 becomes your win or get fired year.

So, why not put off firing the OC for a year? 2010 becomes the year you can blame on the just-fired OC and 2011 is your win or get fired year.
