Landry is going to blow up the coaching search.

No decent, established HC is going to want all this smoke, and guaranteed meddling from a governor.
It gives the feeling that if you coach here:
1) You will be jumping into unnecessary drama from outside officials
2) Contract negotiations will be a shitshow with the governor also presiding
3) The governor is going to be micromanaging you
4) Even if you check all the right boxes for Landry, what if the next governor doesn't like you?
5) You better be MAGA, or the governor won't sign off on it. . .excluding most every top tier coach.
You can say that none of this shite is true, but that is irrelevant if the coaching prospects BELIEVE it to be true. He is really making me rethink my donation to his campaign.

If you are keeping the AD out of the picture and you don't have a President, then either you have the board conduct searches or give it over to the boosters and they appoint someone to negotiate.....and that person could or may not be Landry

What do you think that looks like to prospective coaches? That he is NOT going to be heavily involved?

Money can overcome a lot. But zero top coaches are going to coach somewhere they feel they are going to be micromanaged and ideologically policed
