Re check your source. Alabama has the offer, Saban has t agreed to nothing. Even if he does , he can break it at any time. No buyout.

Bama boards are starting to put out actual numbers now. No idea if it's true or not but it would put him at $7.5 per year, the same as Belichick btw, but is supposedly heavily incentive based. Bama might shoot themselves in the foot if Texas offers him the moon.

Yeah, I don't really get what they're waiting for. This just gives Texas a chance to counter with even more money. Isn't this what happened with Rich Rodriguez?

I was told several days ago it is $8 mil per year and its been on the table for a couple of weeks now. I have a feeling that there will be a lot of Texas & OU fans tomorrow, because both have to win to put UT in a BCS bowl, which is Mack's only hope.

If Saban leaves Bama, you never post on here again
If Saban is Bamas coach for their first game in 2014, I will never post on Tide Insider

Maybe a Bama fan on their insider boards would know - Saban is on Gameday tomorrow correct? Maybe he announces that he signed the extension on the show? Anyone heard this?

Eh, doesn't seem like his style.
I dunno if he's going to Texas or not but it seems strange to me that Auburn would lock up Gus so quickly and Alabama is waiting. Or maybe not, after the IB fiasco.

I find it funny that TideInsider and/or Alabama says "a deal has been agreed upon" but there's no link, no quote from anyone of weight, the UT President says there's no truth to it, which I don't buy at all..... It seems pretty obvious Bama knows that this is "out" and are trying to tamp whatever it is down.
I also find it weird that Saban hasn't said anything about it. Nothing at all. I know he doesn't like the media and having little press conferences and all that stuff but he hasn't said squat about it. When he was here it was, "I will not be leaving LSU" and then when he was in Miami, it was, "I will not be the head coach at Alabama...."
There's no "Ok, let me just stop this rumor here" or whatever. He remains silent about the whole thing. Silence speaks louder than words.

His reputation took such a beating after his outright lies in Miami, that he is choosing to not put himself out there again, this late in his career

Did I miss something? If I did, please tell me.
I haven't seen him say one thing within the last 2 weeks about any of this.

Maybe but I don't think so. It's just my opinion.
Personally I think Bama and UT are duking it out for him. ESPN won't say anything about it at the current time because he's Saban.
Let the two schools figure it out and then when it's all done, they'll announce it. Just like they did with Malzahn, Petersen, Sumlin, etc.

He's at your university. I asked if there was something concrete that I missed.
Apparently there isn't and you have to resort to turning it around on someone who simply asked a question.
Show me where I'm wrong. I'll gladly say I'm wrong if it's something official. I have yet to see that.

I'm talking about him denying it. If he denies it, like the UT president, you'll say it was fake. If he doesn't, then you'll say he needs to deny it.
Not to mention he's already denied it multiple times. Along with his wife.
Quite comical.

I will? And you're certain of that? I never said that what the UT President said was "fake." I stated that I don't believe it, i.e. it's something to tell the public to try and make this go away for the time being. He would've done better just staying quiet about the whole thing. But he didn't and that's why this thread is here.
I just said, I'm saying it now for a second time, that I'll gladly say I'm wrong if it's something official.

When? Recently? Have a link? Or are you referring to last year when it was this and him possibly going to Cleveland?

Talk about. I'm simply curious. You seem to be the one who has his jimmies rustled.
