He's a lame duck. Neither he nor the chancellor will have substantive input.

This will be Lombardi and some large contributors driving this thing.

I heard about the SOS thing back near the end of last summer. Have heard it confirmed several times since. Not to say that things can't change, but I along w/ confirmation from others beleive this is a done deal.

Now SOS is not my first choice. RR is. However, since WV will play for MNC RR is out of consideration. Prior to this I believe RR would have come.

I don't think we will be droppings down the list...when it is all said and done, the list will have never been that long...

No way...I think Sexton has put out feelers for SOS, but that is hardly an indicator that he is looking to bolt South Carolina...

Bama was foolish for hiring saban and we would be foolish to take him back. but we might have to.

Spurrier put out feelers and fiddled around with Texas A&M for 2 weeks straight, that's a fact.

He just toyed with Byrne, their AD, and basically demanded that his son be considered to be his successor after he put in his years in college station.

Egg, is that what you think Spurrier is doing now with LSU? With Lombardi?

I still have the feeling that our next coach, if Miles leaves, will not be one of the big names that is always tossed about.

Just get a sense that Saban and Spurrier aren't going anywhere...same with Del Rio.

You can bet your house that Saban has had Sexton contact LSU about his position....he WANTS to come back and I'm hearing that he will be in the mix (Top 2).

32-6 over three years is mediocre? WOW!!!

Not only should you be banned but you should your fanship revoked!!!

If that is a real look into what your expectations are, then that is absolutely rediculous!! I hope for you that your next girl's expectations aren't that high.

What a moron!!! and obvious bandwagon jumping, ranter!!!

No, neither. It'll be a higher profile mid-level guy from another BCS conference.

It will be Mike Nolan. SF will fire him to pursue Pete Carrol in the next 2 weeks, leaving a young, fiery, defensive minded coach with LSU ties on the market for us to snatch up.

I have supported Miles the whole time but the truth is many coaches could have coached us to 2 losses this season. Nearly the entire defense will be in the NFL. That is fact, not opinion. My expectations were very high when I chose a wife. 11 years later, it's all good.

Stop it, just stop it right there. You destroy whatever credibility you have when you say stupid things like that. 32-6 is NOT mediocre. It's just not. Stop saying it. It's silly. 32-6 is NOT mediocre.

We'll see what he does with Michigan and determine who has what credibility then. If he loses on Saturday and has no hardware after 3 years with that talent, me saying mediocre will sound like a compliment compared to what will be said.

Umm, is this opposite day? Saban came out of left field and was relatively unknown to the majority of the population before taking the LSU job.

Miles mediocre? LSU has never been more of a factor and "noticed" in the college football world. Saban put us back on the college football map, but Miles has certainly made the dot bigger.

Just because YOU didn't know who Saban was, didn't mean he was an up and comer. He was well known to be a big time coach to those who know football and was felt to be a big coup for LSU at that time by them. We can deny all we want, but Miles has been living off Saban's players, a buttload of NFL ones at that.

My god you people are delusional.

First of all, don't worry, Michigan doesn't want your coach.

Second of all, our coach doesn't want you.

Rest easy tonight knowing that you have the "much better than saban" Miles at the helm of your purple ship. He's not going anywhere, unless, of course, he decides he'd rather be at SMU.

It didn't sound that way last night. It's "you're" not your. I have higher expectations of you than that.
