Whatever. It didn't happen. Neither will this.
Yet it still seems increasingly unsettling that if one Coordinator jumps ship, LSU fricked.

How that isn't within some people's vision is beyond me.

Not sure if many know but when Dave signed new contract he also was named associate head coach

Unless you're implying he is about to have the "associate" part removed from his title, wtf, does this mean?

No, I mean why stir up this shite? I'm not an Orgeron fan btw. But all this strikes me as if someone has an agenda and leaks supposed stories to you guys. I have no fricking clue what that agenda might be. I just find it extremely hard to believe that Aranda would make a less than lateral move w/in the division.... for what? He's already the highest-paid asst in college football.

Just a title so he can be paid more money but if O is relieved of duties he is next man up. That carries weight with Dave. Nothing is impossible but nothing has been discussed yet not saying can't go down. But somebody is rattling our cages.

Are you saying they are going to pay him almost 4 million a year as a DC? That's insane! This overpaying for these coaches shite needs to stop. When you get head coaches making 10 million a year and coordinators making 4 million to coach a fricking game, the shits getting ridiculous and totally out of hand.

I like college football, but this might be the point where I turn it off completely. There is no legitimate reason why a football coach should ever be making that kind of money.

Think he just means that being associate head coach is a little more of a draw to stay put with LSU. If he leaves I might just have to burn all my LSU shite and write letters until the felon, O, and Alleva are all gone.

I don't think TBL means bad, just trying to provide LSU fans with what he hears and we all appreciate it.

he has a pretty good track record, so I respect and believe what he has heard

TAMU will pay him more than LSU while working for a competent boss.

Wonder if the binder contained contingency plans for this scenario.

I totally agree with your logic. Aranda has nothing to gain by going to A&M. People wanna say he doesn’t like working for “O”, but what coaching staff is made up of a bunch of besties?

Now I won't say that we can't lose Dave to NFL. But I think he needs more skins on wall first. Hey I am like all you , worried but as of now not going to sweat it. When they get back from Orlando we will see.

I don't think he is tryin to stir the pot, he is just providing info about what he has heard. It wouldn't make sense to make that lateral move but for one reason, he isn't happy. I assume he is happy but I am not Aranda or his wife so i have no clue if he is or isn't

Yes, name him HC and move O to DL coach.

This. ^^^^

Losing Canada is one thing. Losing Aranda is totally different. Make him HC and you probably keep Canada too.

This could be way off, but I thought I heard that Aranda has a large buyout and a clause that if he goes to another SEC west school it goes up significantly

I mean if they are going to give him 4 a year I can kind of see it. But I and most of the fan base would really feel terrible about that. Hopefully people wouldn't look at it so much as a betrayal by Aranda but a failure for Alleva (list is really growing on that front)

Did you just wake up from Coma? NCAAF is $1 billion plus business.

TAMU has money to spent and an AD that understands the value. LSU has similar in Chancellor in 1999. TAMU pulled Jimbo from FSU with handsome contract while LSU tripped over itself 2 years in a row and outbid itself for a coach without any other suitors.

aTm would have to offer $2.5m/yr on a multi year to compete with what LSU could counter. They're paying Jimbo $7.5m so they'd have $10m tied up in HC and DC. Now they do have the offensive guru at HC so they could bargain shop for their OC and still be in good shape.

The real story here is that Orgeron immediately becomes a failed experiment if Aranda and Canada both leave. At that point, we'd better just clean house and bring in a new AD and a new staff. We can't sell continuity to recruits if this shite happens every single year. And we can't sell this as a destination job for coordinators if even a mild mannered, calm cool and collected guy like Aranda can't be retained under Orgeron for more tban a one year tenure. I will fully believe that O is the root of the problem if we lose MC and DA. And Alleva enabled it, so he should be blindfolded and set loose at the alligator farm doused in bacon grease.

This makes you more angry than Orgeron getting paid $3.5m to not coach?

Football is an expensive business/investment

the success of how your football program is can be influenced by 10's of millions of dollars

Hey not sure where info came from but I know for sure no questions asked he hasn't talked to ANYONE about a job. NFL included. That's what we need to worry about. They pay big money and is top of the mountain crap there.Soory if I sound like a prick because maybe something happened today that I am unaware of . I have my own life to worry about.
