What Are Some Good Books On Hitler?
Has anyone read 'Hitler: Ascent'? It seems to be one of the better books that I have come across about hitler, but before I get into this one I want to see if there are other books I haven't come across that might be better. Any suggestions?

John Toland
Ian Kershaw
Both have excellent biographies of Hitler
Kershaw is probably the best book out there

Kershaw seems to have several books about Hitler, but I am assuming the one you are referring to is Hitler: The Biography right?

I'd start with William Shirer's Rise and Fall of the Third Reich. He was on the ground in Germany in the 1920s and '30s. The authoritative account of Hitler's rise. Kershaw's is great but Shirer is the GOAT.

Good choice, but Shirer gets a lot of facts wrong, confusing Eva Braun with Geli Raubal for instance (at least I assume that’s who he is confusing Braun with). Richard Evans’ three book series on the Third Reich is really good, and has the benefit of modern scholarship and other more recent discoveries.
