Ticket demand to Ala football is up

Article in Bham news said Ala is back on top as far as demand (prices) for the tickets on the retail market. I think Michigan was first and Ala had fallen to 3rd. There are single game tickets still for sell, but those are probably bad seats.
So, whats driving that demand? The Natl Championship? Excitement about this team, the quarterback?

I really think it Tua.. it’s exciting to think we may have the best QB ever at Bama. We have only seen a small portion of him and it has been amazing. That’s what is driving a lot of fans

I think it's the offense overall. We had so many true freshmen on the field late in the game against UGA, and that has fans excited to see an explosive offense. It's really staggering to see how deep this offense is, and it will be paired with an incredible OL.
Coming off another National Championship doesn't hurt either.

I sold my season tickets yesterday, but they are bad seats in the upper level. I'll go to a couple games anyway but don't like the nosebleeds.

I think Tua and expectations of the offense have a lot to do with it.

Tua could still lose the QB battle so I don't think it is him.
I really think it is Raekwon Davis and Isiah Buggs in the trenches. People I know are really excited to see them work.

Texas HS teams play against the college programs? I didn't realize the Longhorns had become so bad. Who they playing Westlake or Channelview?
We need to go back to the classic Alabama run first, ball control offense. We lost our way the minute we went away from that.

The Texas A&M ticket has a face value of $90, and there are tons of tickets on Stubhub priced between $100 and $120, which isn't that high of a markup, especially considering that it will be the first matchup between Saban and Jimbo since he got to aTm.
There are season tickets right now in section U4 QQ available for $499, which is less than the cost of the tickets and the corresponding Tide Pride donation. Add the Stub Hub fee and it's a bit more. The Auburn ticket in the same section is selling for $300...that's really the only game I see high demand for. So let's say you buy the season tickets for 499, sell the Auburn tickets for 300...that means you paid 199 for aTm, Mizzou, Miss State, and the three weak sisters (not counting the fees). Less than $35 per game. I don't think that's evidence of high demand by any stretch of the imagination. It might be better than last year...I couldn't get more than $29 each for my Arkansas tickets. But it still isn't great.

That’s because $90 for a single regular season ticket that’s not in a premium seating area against a regular conference opponent is insane. Evidence of the overpricing of college football which will eventually catch up to it and the market will adjust.

Oh, I agree 100%. That's why I think this article about high demand, even though I didn't see it, is bogus. I don't know how they measured it. I see demand as being much less than a few years ago...not greater.
I sold my Auburn tickets...top of the upper deck, back line of the end zone...a couple of months ago for $350. There's demand. But when the opportunity is there to see SEC games cheap by buying the season tickets and reselling the Auburn tickets, and people still aren't buying? That's not demand.
