Ole Miss QB Shea Patterson Granted Release To Transfer, With Restrictions
by TD Staff ReporterDecember 2, 2017

© Matt Bush-USA TODAY Sports
Multiple sources are reporting that Ole Miss quarterback Shea Patterson has been granted his release to transfer to another school but with some restrictions.
Shea is not allowed to transfer to any SEC schools or teams that the Rebels will play within the next two years.
Non-SEC schools on Ole Miss' schedule for the next two season include:
Texas Tech
Southern Illinois
Kent State
Louisiana-Monroe
Memphis
Southeastern Louisiana
Cal
New Mexico State
Where do you think Patterson will end up?

Will the NCAA eventually grant all players the ability to leave regardless and start right away wherever they go?

La Tech to guaranty a starting spot, as they need a good QB right now. He racks up a bunch of stats in that system (because that is prob all he cares about) over the next 2 seasons, and then gets drafted in 3rd-4th round, and starts getting paid. His mission is completed.

Just sit in that dump of a Juco and go to LSU. They'll show him how to throw a career away.

He will be in Ruston, LA for the Ole Red and Blue....watch and see!

Don't want him anyway...had his chance to come to LSU but chose Ole Piss, and look at him now. Keep movin' Gypsy!

I agree, only want young at LSU who want to be here, he wasn't one with enough chest for LSU apparently. Wish him well wherever he goes though.

Agree with you both. Wish we had never accepted Mettenberger. Huge mistake, right???
Whatever.

Can't he go to a juco/sit out a year, then go to any school of his choosing?

Really? It seems like he has been trusting his brother with his future. And why not?
