Texans WR Will Fuller Announces He’s Been Suspended For 6 Games

Houston Texans WR Will Fuller has been suspended for the remainder of the season. Shortly after that was announced he took to Instagram to explain that his six-game suspension is for an NFL PED violation...

Earlier this year, I sought treatment from a medical professional who prescribed medication that he believed to be permitted under the NFL’s drug policy. As it turns out, my trust in this professional was misplaced because this medication was NOT a permitted substance under the NFL Policy on Performance Enhancing Substances.

As a result of this mistake, I have been suspended for six games for taking this prohibited medication. I want to sincerely apologize to the Texans organization and all of my fans for this mistake. I am looking forward to putting this all behind me and returning better than ever in 2021.

First, "a medical professional"--was this person licensed as a physician in Texas? Second, "medication"--is this something approved by the Food & Drug Administration? Third, given all the weird supplements out there and the NFL's somewhat complex rules, seems like a player should not take anything other than Advil, antibiotics, or similar without running it by a team doctor or some doctor at least very familiar with those rules.

If the Dr. was at fault, will he sue for lost wages? Something tells me, like all the others that blame someone else, the answer is no.

Weed is not that hardcore of a drug. Pretty stiff penality
