And a white cop with a wife and kids at home can get shot down like a dog and the world never misses a beat...

When he fell back down I said to myself, that's a heart or head thing...an aneurysm or heart attack.

Ya know how these young athletes live with an unknown heart condition and all of a sudden die in high school or college, that must be what is happening here.

Until they said heart. I thought the second fall with head hitting ground was the issue. My wife's friend died from passing out and hitting head on ground.

serious question...are there "unknown heart conditions" that the NFL can't find in physicals?

I think finding any kind of abnormal condition it relies on the thoroughness of the test and the % of folks who might have this condition.

Of course Cost being the main thing. They're young...why we gonna spend $10k on this or that test when only 1% of the population ever has this condition.

I heard of a radio talk show host in Dallas years ago talk about an all-encompassing physical he had done that does a fine scan and test of everything about your body. I always wanted to get one of those. Probably cost $50k tho.

How does postponing a game help Hamlin? Life is about survival of the fittest, right? What is the NFL really worried about?

I can't stand Skip but ffs sake his tweet said the game seems irrelevant.

I agree, what Skip said was totally taken out of context. I concede he could have worded it better though.

Shannon Sharpe is a drama queen and had always been one.

They should have finished the game. We see MLB players get hit in the head by a pitch or a hit and they play on. The NFL has pansied the game. These guys make millions and know the dangers of these hits. But can anyone remember a NFL game postpones due to this type of issue?

Can you post a link to any story where anyone in the history of baseball received CPR to save his life laying in the dirt by homeplate?

Just one.

Someone getting injured because of a hit or a result of a play is one thing. That man standing up after a tackle, collapsing, then needing cpr for multiple minutes is a whole other level.

This type of issue? Dude, this has NEVER happened where a player goes into cardiac arrest on the field of play in the NFL. Your post is like you are a robot. Sad actually.
