We've heard rumblings of the Jets using Tim Tebow on punt protection, but Jets assistant special teams coach Ben Kotwica told the New York Daily News that the team is considering using the QB on their kickoff coverage team. Kotwica said that he’s not concerned about Tebow’s speed getting down the field or about his ability to make a tackle when he gets down there...
quote:

“When he’s in coverage, he’ll be looking to tackle the returner,” Kotwica said. “And from what I’ve seen, I’ve got a pretty high degree of confidence that he would be able to do that.”
Can't wait to see the drama unfold once Sanchez starts throwing picks.

Correct, there's no way this is serious. This is just a ploy.

Wow. You go from the starting NFL Quarterback that led your team to the second round of the playoffs and now your on the kickoff coverage? What a crock. I have lost all respect for the Jets.

I bet Tebow is so happy he went to the Jets. Will he be a deep snapper next? Ridiculous.

Seems like they are trying to get him injured. Easy way to head off the crowd chants and second-guessing.
