According to a report in the Palm Beach Post, the Miami Dolphins have requested a logo change with the league.
quote:

“We’re not talking about changing colors or taking the sun off the helmet. It’s not going to be like when Tampa Bay changed from orange to pewter gray,” he said. “It’s definitely keeping one eye on what’s traditional in the logo intact, while keeping one eye on a 21st century version of that.”
Terrible idea.

I'm convinced that graphic designers today are the most unoriginal, uncreative, people on the planet. Every new logo, whether for a football team, airline, law firm or grocery store all look exactly the same

Looks like something an AFL team affiliated with the Dolphins would wear.

I hate that tradition rich franchises will throw away tradition for the sake of a temporary bump in merchandise sales.

Would be similar to but nowhere near as catastrophic as LSU changing their helmet logo to Toonces' Head.

And I like Toonces' Head.
