NFL Commish Roger Goodell Is Forgoing His Salary
© Jasen Vinlove-USA TODAY Sports
In response to the pandemic, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has voluntarily requested to forego his salary...
quote:

Of course, Goodell is BY FAR the highest-paid sports league commissioner ... with the NBA's Adam Silver and MLB's Rob Manfred making somewhere near $10 million a year, according to reports.

FYI -- Goodell's base salary is reportedly around $20 million ... but can double with incentives.

You guys realize he'll just get them to take it back on when they resume right? Instead of $20 mill he'll get $25mill a year for 4 years. Not to mention a pretty genius tax advantage. Think about it in your head and you'll figure it out.

That’s not empty. That’s 3.5 million a month based on last years compensation

How long has he been commish? So what he doesn't make 20 million one year. He will probably get a raise next year by 5 million and make it back in 4 years.

Good to see the guy admit that he's worthless.

He will make it up 10 fold with signing an extension. and no one should have to take a pay cut. The entire league could be paid and it's a drop in the bucket for the owners in the grand scheme of things.
