Denver backup QB Brady Quinn thinks Tim Tebow became the starter because of the pressure from the fan base. And now he's speaking out about it...
quote:

“Early in the season, there was a game when Kyle [Orton] got hurt and the coaches were calling for me to go in, but Kyle got up and finished the game out,” said Quinn. “So I was the second-string guy. Then, a few weeks later, they decided to put Tim in. I felt like the fans had a lot to do with that. Just ’cause they were chanting his name. There was a big calling for him. No, I didn’t have any billboards. That would have been nice.”
quote:

Quinn made it clear that he doesn’t believe Tebow is very humble.

“If you look at it as a whole,” he tells Silver, “there’s a lot of things that just don’t seem very humble to me. When I get that opportunity, I’ll continue to lead not necessarily by trying to get in front of the camera and praying but by praying with my teammates, you know?”

Quinn did have chances to start. And there was plenty of hype for him coming in. Did he do for the Browns what Tebow did for the Broncs? Nope.

What makes everyone think Tebow praying on the sidelines is for show? Should go hid in the bathroom at halftime and praise the lord for the TD run he has in the 1st qtr? I dont see anyone making a big deal about other players who take a knee and make the sign of the cross after a touchdown. The cameras find him, not the other way around. The media brainwashes some of you people...

Quinn obviously thinks he's good enough to start so he's trying to get his a** traded. Donkeys are going w/ Tebow next season no matter what.

I do agree with him on one thing...the constant praying on the sidelines is a bit sanctimonious.

Wow, this must have been eating at Quinn for a while. Seems like a ploy to get traded (or released)...

He jealous, but... "When I get that opportunity, I’ll continue to lead not necessarily by trying to get in front of the camera and praying but by praying with my teammates, you know?” Agreed.
