Absolutely deserved. When you make $84MM to lead a team, you cannot make Football 101 mistakes like (a) throwing the ball away instead of taking a sack while trying to run out clock and (b) snapping the ball with 17 seconds on play clock left while trying to milk clock and make opponent burn timeouts.
