Mayweather Jr. Bet $1 Million Against Tebow
by Larry Leo
December 29, 20115 Comments
According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. placed a $1 million bet in Vegas that Tom Brady's Patriots would beat Tim Tebow's Denver Broncos.
quote:The Broncos lost 41-23. Mayweather Jr. is the only guy I know who can get 90 days in jail on domestic violence charges and win a million bucks all in ten days.
"The boxer, known for making (and tweeting) big-money bets, reportedly put the bet in with the M Resort. However, Mike Colbert, Cantor Gaming sports book director at the resort, wouldn't confirm or deny the rumblings, telling the Journal-Review that he wasn't allowed to comment on who bets. Colbert did, however, acknowledge that the boxer is "a valued customer who frequents the books quite often."
