Yea I didn't think the kid would make the team, but you have to respect his drive and passion.

They generally don’t dislike him it’s the Tebow privilege they hate.

And that’s not a knock on Tebow. I say if you had the chance to play again pursue your dreams. He’s a lucky guy to be able to try 2 pro sports as well as have a great paying on air job. Hard to say much bad about him.

I tried to hate him also - but then I met a couple at the motel we stayed before the big game in 2007 - they knew Tebow well - told us about his background, his charitable work, his devotion to God, his work ethic. I still cheered for us to beat him, but I could never again apply "hate" (even in the non-serious sports rival sense) to him. Respect the hell out of him, and have never had occasion to change that since.

Honestly this probably had a lot to do with it :lol:
