During an interview on Tuesday's Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show, Georgia GOP Senate candidate Herschel Walker said there were 52 states while telling Stacey Abrams, the Democratic candidate for governor, where she should go live. Abrams recently said

"I am tired of hearing about [Georgia] being the best state in the country to do business when we are the worst state in the country to live."

That's when Walker responded with...

“If you don’t believe in the country, leave and go somewhere else,” he said. “If it’s the worst state, why are you here? Why don’t you leave ? go to another? There’s, what, 51 more other states that you can go to?”

There are 50 states.

That is not true. They pay federal custom taxes, federal payroll taxes, any employee or company doing business with the fed government pays fed income taxes, federal taxes on foreign source income. Puerto Rico residents pays more to the federal gov't in taxes than 6 US states.
