UPDATE:
Per TMZ...Blount issued a mea culpa for his role in the fight on Monday evening ... apologizing to his players and the parents on his team -- "and also to the players and parents on the other team"...
quote:

"As a leader, coach, father and a role model I understand my actions are unacceptable," he added. "I hope and pray for your understanding and forgiveness and plan to continue to be a positive impact in the lives of our youth."

Blount did say in his statement he believes there's more to the story than the footage shows ... but he explained, "Regardless of that, I take full responsibility for my part in it and for putting myself in this situation."

ORIGINAL:
Former NFL RB LeGarrette Blount was involved in a fight at a youth football game on Saturday, throwing punches in a wild skirmish...
quote:

The altercation happened following the conclusion of a 12-year-old-and-under game in Gilbert, Arizona.

Blount was coaching the GCYFC Gators against the Chandler Elite Bears -- when in the postgame handshake line ... he appeared to take exception to something someone had said to him.

I HATE fricking POS trashy whore women. If my wife did that, I'd leave her on the spot, period. Completely walk away and let her suffer the consequences of being a stupid count

What were the women doing? That’s pretty savage that you’d just bail over that. Not sure that makes you the good guy.

Great lesson for your team of 12 year olds. These types of stories in youth sports are always mind blowing.

Glad to see this dude learned a valuable lesson back in college. For those who don't remember, this was the dude who threw a sucker punch at a Boise State player during the post-game handshakes after BSU upstate Oregon.

That’s all I think about when I hear his name. As we can see nothing has changed but his aim.
