Dwayne Bowe Says 'I'm Here To Fill Josh Gordon's Shoes'
Ken Blaze-USA TODAY Sports
Former Kansas City Chief WR, and LSU Tiger, Dwayne Bowe is ready for a new life on the Cleveland Browns. Bowe has been brought in to take up the slack for suspended WR Josh Gordon. He told the Northeast Ohio Media Group...
quote:

“When Josh was here he was the touchdown man and I’m here to fill his shoes,” Bowe told NEOMG during minicamp. “It’s my job to do that in this offense and I believe I can do that.”

“If I get (a touchdown) in the (home) opener first quarter, the floodgates are open and the Dawg Pound is going crazy,” he said. “It’s going to be awesome. Once I start that, I don’t know what I’m going to do. I might go crazy.”
Bowe is itching for a touchdown catch after not having a single one last season...
quote:

“I didn’t get one shot in the end zone,” he said.”I think it’s in Ripley’s Believe It or Not…

“I got us down in scoring range and with our offense, it was based on running back to the tight end and my job was to play football,” he added. “I never complained. I always did my job to get us down there but the chips just didn’t fall my way. That’s all I can control.”

From one subpar QB to another. Too bad he didn't get a deal like Andre Johnson. Going from subpar QB to future hall of fame QB.

I hope so, I've always been a big Bowe fan. I'm from Cleveland so it's awesome to see him come to town. Even though he's coming off his worst season.

He is strong enough and has he hands to be "the man", hope he has a QB that can get the ball near him.
