Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones Responds To Troy Aikman’s Criticism
Bob Donnan-USA TODAY Sports
Hall of Fame Cowboys QB Troy Aikman hasn't been shy with sharing his criticism of this year's team week-to-week. In an interview this week with 1310 The Ticket, Aikman said that he doesn’t foresee himself ever becoming the GM in Dallas and added that unless Jones shows he is willing to bring in someone from the outside to run football operations, the team is “going to have some problems.”...
quote:

“I believe that it’s unlikely that Jerry will ever bring somebody in that can help this football team in that regard just because he’s been real stubborn and steadfast, in that he’s the one in charge,” Aikman said.
Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones later had this response. Per 105.3 and CBS Sports...
quote:

“I don’t want to speak for Troy, but Troy loves football,” he said. “We know that. In this case, he loves the Cowboys. I’d dare say that if he owned the team or given everything he’d ever given in his life. And by the way, Troy emptied his bucket.

“Everything that he had when he came to the Cowboys and he got more after he got here. I agree. But everything he was up until then — he emptied the bucket that day just like I did to become a Cowboy. Now, I would wager that if he did that to buy the team, he would do it exactly like how I do it. I would wager that because you just want to ultimately, with that much on the line and that much at stake, you want to break any ties or make the calls.”

Mr. Jones, that statement is incoherent, Sir.

With Dak, Zeke, and Cooper Dallas has the talent to make the playoffs every season and be relevant. This is purely a coaching management problem. But billionaires want to have total control over their operations because they used to people doing what they want.

I’m not saying JJ doesn’t want to see the Cowboys win, but he is a businessman first. As long as they are making league leading money, why spend more.

Why is Jerry’s face always so red?

I heard Jerry lines to frequently perform highly inspired cunnilingus on very attractive 35 to 50 year old females. That’s why his face is always red. Women like billionaires and they will willingly have coitus with them.

Aikman stepped in and married the ex-wife of JJ's nephew. Now Aikman wants to step in and run JJ's franchise? Hey Troy... if you're so smart, make some money and buy the Cowboys

JJ has become a parody of himself. Fans of the other 31 NFL franchises are thrilled he is who and what he is.

Jerry Jones limelight was over when Jimmy Johnson left him and his ego. The Cowboys has been on a downward spiral since then. Unfortunately it hasn't taken his ego with it. It's a sad situation for players and fans, but for Cowboy haters it's heaven. LONG LIVE Jerry Jones' AND HIS EGO.

Jerry, give the keys to someone who knows how to drive. When your way has shown for YEARS that it doesn’t work, then it’s time for you to back away.

Double J spent $151 Million to buy the cowboys. At the time, He had $151 Million in the bank. He quite literally "emptied the bucket" to become a cowboy. In fact, when the check cleared, so to say, and he and Jimmy Johnson went to their first dinner together in Dallas, he didn't know if he would have enough money to pay for dinner. He's also saying that Troy gave everything he had to the cowboys and became a legend in the process. Bottom line, he's saying that he sacrificed everything to get here and as a result, he gets the final say. Might not be the smartest stance in the world when it comes to winning titles but you have to respect that. He's a self made guy. I respect the hell out of him. Look at his real estate portfolio too (might actually be more impressive than the Cowboys). He saw the whole Mckinney/Plano explosion happening before anyone else did. Dude is a shrewd as hell businessman.

Have an upvote my friend. I didn’t learn a damn thing from reading this article because I already knew that Jerry couldn’t run a team. But I must say, I love when the Cowboys suck it up.

Jerry will leave video instructions in his will. Hell, he may have his brain removed and connected to some AI bot that makes team hiring, firing and play decisions for eternity. Dude will NEVER give away his authority, and that is why the Cowboys will always fail in the end.
