Were the NFL referees ready to throw a flag on the Bills if Josh Allen had completed the play? That's the latest conspiracy about last night's Chiefs' win...

I have to say it's a little suspicious if that flag was thrown. I remember seeing it on the screen. Then it was picked up. If the pass had been completed would the flag have been holding?

So what did they say was the flag thrown for ?

No one saw a flag, Nantz thought he heard someone (either in the booth or in his earpiece) say there was a flag on the play so he repeated that. After a few seconds they realized no flag had been thrown

If you look on the TV screen of the last play, he has yellow FLAG. That means a flag was thrown on the play. The officials apparently didn't need it so they picked it up.

I saw an indicated on the ticker next to the score; but no flag was called. The refs knew that the Chiefs would decline the penalty so it would have been pointless.

Yeah once again the refs helped the Chefs get to the super bowl, they either have money on the game or the NFL office tells them to help the Chefs, every chance they get, because Allen just had to get to the line for a 1st down not over it he got to the line!

They can flag someone on every play. People forget it is a huge business. The NFL was not about to let markets so close to one another compete for the SB!!

Larry, this is a nothing burger conspiracy thread not worth our time. Please refrain from posting this type of nonsense if it’s the best you can find. PS: You are absolutely killing your father.

When the QB leaves the pocket, illegal contact beyond 5 yards is waived. I can see the officials flagging it and then picking it up if they determined Allen scrambled out of the pocket which he appeared to have done.
