Sounds Like Sean Payton Already Has His Plan At QB
© Douglas DeFelice-USA TODAY Sports
According to the Boston Globe, the New Orleans Saints QB battle between Taysom Hill and Jameis Winston is “not truly open” in head coach Sean Payton’s eyes. Payton reportedly plans to start Hill regardless, and only switch to Winston if his “experiment” with Hill fails...

Sean just does whatever he thinks will piss the most people off. He likes to show he has all the power.and he does. That's a boss move really

Every person that doesn’t think Winston is a very good NFL QB needs to listen to Off The Bench video from I think Friday. T-Bob had a Jamies historian on with the actual statistical facts on this man. It’s a must listen b4 vomiting the push down ur throat narrative on this man. It’s crazy what has happened to this him when many of the best QB in history have had as bad years or worst in their first 5. I cannot wait to laugh my arse off when Jamies is back in the top 10 where he belongs. And want to thank ESPN and the NFL network for helping us get this young talent for cheap.

This is all Payton "slight of hand" to create difficulty for defenses to game plan. Hill may start first snap, but I truly believe both will get significant playing time until one proves to be the best option.

They'll have a player mutiny by week 2 lead by Malcolm Jenkins.

Payton wants Taysom to be the Swiss Army Knife. The only way to get him to do that is for Winston to beat him out in camp and for Taysom to know that he was beaten out.

Not a fan of either. Just don’t see how Jameis isn’t the starter in this situation.

Because he's objectively the worst decision-maker in the league since he's entered it? As in, it's not even an argument.

I don't give u know what about race, I care about winning. If Sean Payton goes with TayTay, I trust him.

The cries of racism will be loud if this happens. From certain Saints fans to analysts, they’ll cry for days because, “have you seen Jameis’ summer workouts?”

Certainly it will, perhaps without merit, but you have to admit that it's a stigma due to the past and current inequalities in this country.

"current inequalities". Depends on your point of view. In 2019, 58.9 percent of NFL players were African American the NBA in 2020 was composed of 74.2 percent black players On opening day 2021, 7% of players on MLB rosters are American-born Black athletes
