We are currently in the midst of a battle of the kickers. On Friday, we saw Baylor backup kicker Spencer Evans kick a 75-yard field goal in practice. On Sunday, Texas kicker Nick Rose raised the stakes by five yards and nailed this 80-yard field goal at Darrell K. Royal Memorial Stadium...

LSUzealot.....if he kicked it from the 30 that is 70 yards plus 10 with the endzone, that makes it 80 yards.

Great leg. Awful height...that would go right into the back of the snapper. Admittedly I can't kick a ball that far.

All of these are impressive as hell, but until these guys make 55 yarders consistently in games (no one does it consistently) it doesn't matter. JaMarcus Russell could throw it post to post but that doesn't mean shite unless he was accurate.
