Notre Dame, and their non-conference ego, are still looking for a place to play football this fall and apparently if they play in the ACC they can play in their championship.Is that fair?...

P5 schools could easily force ND to join the ACC. Just quit scheduling them until they do.

I am ok with the idea... but not this year. If they tried this any other time, I would support it (mainly bc it would make clemson have to win two "decent" games a year to get into the playoff). However, ND should not be given a get out of jail free card. They had to have it this way, now they can deal with the repercussions of it. And do you think NBC is just going to give ESPN those games... or visa versa? I would bet the tv contracts squash this idea.

Everyone is crapping on this, but how great would it be if the SEC offered them the same deal? They would get ran through like the last girl at Freds. Of course they wouldn't ever have the nuts to step up.

Not sure why this upsets people? This is a good change for college football. The acc's 10 conference games plus one non con game would be awesome if all power 5 adopted it permanently. Wont miss the annual alabama vs coastal carolina game.

This isn't about the rest of CFB. It's about ND wanting to have their cake and eat it too. Force them to join the conference if they want a crack at the ACCC game. They want all the frills of their independent status (understandable) as well as a chance at the revenue a conf champ game affords teams that are affiliated. I understand their appeal nationally but I wish someone would tell them to frick off.
