Brad Mills-USA TODAY Sports
On GameDay Saturday morning, ESPN college football analyst Kirk Herbstreit explained why his twin sons Tye and Jake, who play wide receiver and defensive back, will be attending Clemson...
quote:

“They’re going there as preferred walk-ons and a big part of that has to do with the culture,” Herbstreit said on ESPN. “As a dad and as a broadcaster, I’ve been lucky enough to get behind the scenes at Clemson the last few years. I’ve been blown away by the culture that Dabo has created. It’s not just Dabo. It’s the entire staff — the secretaries, the trainers, the team doctors, the SID. It’s different when you go to Clemson and you need to go there to really see it and understand it.

“And that’s a credit to him and his leadership. Another mark of a great coach to me, whether you’re the start quarterback or just a guy trying to make the team, you’re treated the same. I think it goes back to his own experience at Alabama as a player. He runs his program through the eyes of that player who was at Alabama.”

Kirk was smart not to call it what it really is; namely, a CHRISTIAN environment. He's smart enough to know that would not have played well with the powers-that-be at Disney/ABC/ESPN.

So, Ohio State is no one anymore and Urban hates the SEC. Got it.

I'm not sure where you're coming from there, though obviously everyone has heard about Herbstreit's problems with his alma mater, but nobody plays for a program Urban developed because of the culture unless they already have criminal tendencies.

Oooh. He gonna get in trouble for calling them secretaries and not administrative assistants? Fingers crossed.

Secretaries have a front hole I can get behind.

So that's not an Alabama endorsement? Thought Herbie's sons were like 7.

So?

Herbie thinks other people care about his family. Such an arrogant buffoon. I had no idea he even had twin sons who played football.

Every parent thinks people care about their kids. In reality, no one gives a shite about your family but you.

He's not telling you this so you can have a check in on his kids and know where they play to go to school you idiot. He's merely using the fact that he's sending his kids there to make the point that he really loves the culture that Dabo has built.... I'd say you cant be this stupid but I've seen your posts.

Herbstreit is such a fricking try hard. Hopefully ESPN fires him sooner than later.

Fire him for being a “try hard”? You seem like the guy who doesn’t “try hard” at your job and wonder why you’re still at that same job

Sad fact but the 'try hards' move up. They also are habitual users of media cliche ie 'change the narrative' and/or 'getting open in space' and/or 'on and off the field'

imagine, someone actually trying hard to do their job. Bet you'd have a different tune if LSU's players didnt try hard......
