Does head coach Dabo Swinney Think Clemson Has Passed Alabama?
Erich Schlegel-USA TODAY Sports
Most would agree Clemson has become a college football powerhouse, considered up there with the likes of Alabama. But does head coach Dabo Swinney think Clemson has passed Alabama? Per Clemson Insider...
quote:

“I’m not worried about that. That was last year. It is what it is. We won the game,” Swinney said when asked about the comment. “Whether you win by one point or whatever the score was. We won and you move on.

“It’s like in ’15. There was a lot of comments about that game, but they won the game. At the end of the day you move on. You get better and you learn from it.”

[…]
“We are not trying to catch Alabama or pass Alabama or anything,” Swinney said. “We are just trying to be the best Clemson we can be year in and year out, regardless of what anybody else is doing out there. That is really my focus day in and day out, year in and year out.”

I’d say they passed them by about 4 TDs.

I mean, what else was he supposed to say? Every coach has an inner want to absolutely and definitely be the best. I'm sure Dabo would love to have the opportunity to beat the brakes off of Saban on the field every year. But that's some serious bulletin board material and classless, so unless your name is Joey Freshwater you just don't do it.

At the end of the day there are cliches and coach speak. And Larry’s focus is posting these cliche laden coach speaches with click bait titles. And here I am falling for it again at the beginning of the day. Hopefully at the end of the day I will learn from my mistakes and better myself as a poster. Controlling what we can control should be all of our focus.

The Media's fabricated drama is the easiest ticket into the arena of confusion and betrayal.
