Former Nebraska coach Bo Pelini will be the new head coach at Youngstown State, according to a USA Today source.
quote:

Pelini, 47, was fired at Nebraska after eight years and a record of 67-27.

The move to Youngstown State allows him to remain in a head coaching role, which was preferable to him than returning to the ranks of major college football as a defensive coordinator.

It also allows Pelini to return to Northeast Ohio where he grew up.
Former Ohio State coach Jim Tressel is currently the school president at Youngstown State.
