ASU's New Coach Herm Edwards Breaks Down Signing Day In One Quote
© Tom Tingle-USA TODAY Sports
I don't know how things are gonna go for new Arizona State head football coach Herm Edwards. His quotes of late, and most recently today, come off as if he's overwhelmed by the college football system...

Uh yeah, Coach. ASU has come in last in the Pac-12 for signings this year and currently has the #78 class in the country. Sorry Sun Devils fans.

Honestly, this is trying to make news out of nothing. He was just making an obvious statement. That statement doesn't mean he is overwhelmed. With that said, I like Herman Edwards as a TV personality, but I don't see him having much success as a CFB HC. I'd like to see him succeed so I hope I am wrong.

It would be hard to recruit with those jerseys

what on earth has this guy done to be piled on lie this? obviously he was just joking around..

This article was written a little prematurely. I thought it was a bad hire, but they finished with about the #36 class, about #5 in the PAC 12. It's really not that bad all things considered, probably par for the course.

This hire was dumbfounding. It's proving itself to be as bad as expected

Yikes. This is one of those hires we all knew would end in disaster. Apparently it will begin that way too.

Herm is more fun than a barrel of monkeys. I'm gonna catch some Sun Devil games just for laughs.

This. ASU games are going to be prime viewing next season.

Do I understand they passed over Les for this guy?

I don't understand why people think Les wants to coach. He's making a lot of money not having to work his butt off while being able to enjoy time with his family. He just has to act like he's looking for jobs to satisfy the buyout.

They are so fricked.

Man definitely suffers from some dementia from his playing days. Nice enough guy I’ve heard just a bit off his rocker. Good luck Devils ur in for a treat or should I say trick?
