Anonymous Personnel Exec Compares Jameis To JaMarcus Russell
Rich Barnes-USA TODAY Sports
According to Bob McGinn of the Wisconsin Journal-Sentinel, an anonymous personnel executive sees a lot of similarities between Florida State's Jameis Winstone and former LSU QB JaMarcus Russell heading into this year's NFL Draft...
quote:

“With Jameis Winston I see JaMarcus Russell,” a longtime executive in personnel said. “Isn’t it interesting?”

***

“Lack of focus by JaMarcus is what I see in Winston,” the personnel man said. “They’re physically talented, but during the course of a game they kind of lose their focus and just put the ball up for grabs.

“I see the body. I see the lack of focus. I see the same coach and system. Only Winston’s not as good an athlete and his arm isn’t as strong as JaMarcus’.”

JaMarcus was exponentially more talented than Jameis is.

Winston is terrible, out of shape, and has a horrible off the field record. I can't believe he's going #1. Goes against all logic.

No one ever compared Jamarcus to Geno, RG3, or Bridgewater. Those were all regarded as good dudes. Jameis is an effing moron. I'd hate to be a team desperate enough to draft that clown. There will be a 30 for 30 on his tragic life story one day.

Results will be the same.

Theyre forgetting one important thing. Jamarcus was DUMB. Dude could barely read. Jameis is an extremely bright kid. They're focus/maturity may be comparable, but their overall intelligence is not even close

Here it goes every year. The systematic breakdown of the top black QB. Newton, RG3, Geno, Bridgewater, and now Winston. It never fails. It's some "anonymous exec" right? Keep feeding the propaganda to the lemmings and they will continue to eat it up (just look at the posts before mine).

There is no comparison other than they are big and black, and worked under Jimbo. You could put EJ Manuel in that same group, but then, what about Ponder?

Cardele, it might be your time next year bub.
