I’m not a KD fan, but hate to see this. Top player at the peak of his career. Will never be the same.

Worst news he could get would be a complete tear, whereas the calf muscle would roll up the back of the leg and the Achilles would be down at the bottom of the ankle. I've had a partial tear and was walking in 6 weeks no surgery. I'm not a doctor, but if a window blind was being help down by a rubber band and that rubber band failed, I think it would look just like this.

Right but walking as a normal dude and making athletic basketball moves at 6'9 240 full speed are not even remotely close to the same thing. Dude may never be the same.

Isn't an Achilles injury pretty much a career ender for a professional player?

different people heal differently but you can generally say he will be out an entire year.
