Former NBA player Delonte West, who was recently homeless, is now in rehab and doing well...
quote:

"It's still an uphill battle, but he is climbing."

As we previously reported, Mark Cuban personally picked up West at a Dallas gas station last month and vowed to help out in any way he could after seeing pics of Delonte in late-September in bad shape, begging for money on the streets.

With the blessing of West's family, Cuban helped get Delonte -- a 2004 1st round NBA Draft pick -- into a treatment program ... and things have been going well ever since.

West started with a detox program -- and our sources told us he was "roughing it out" while getting all traces of drugs and alcohol out of his system.
See the pics here.

That's cool and all, but what about all the other homeless guys who fricked LeBron's mom?

Saw him the other day at Highland Park finish a whole doobie in one puff and then proceeded to ace hole 6.

He's probably only at that facility because he was a professional athlete and because Mark Cuban likes some good publicity, but every addict that gets rehabilitated is good for society. Best wishes to him and all other individuals seeking receiving treatment.
