Damn, between the woman tourist getting beat up and left for dead at her hotel, another group of couples found dead in their rooms, AND now Big Papi getting gunned down...I feel like the DR as a whole just got into a really bad batch of Meth. Would love to be a fly on the wall at the Board of Tourism

I always felt bad for these guys that come from poverty stricken countries, strike it rich in USA, and can't travel back to their homes without fear of getting shot or kidnapped. Many times they are just traveling back on goodwill missions, uplifting their former communities. Hope he gets better and that justice is properly served.
