It's bad enough that your top target is the HC of ULL.....a whole nother realm of suckery when even he doesn't want you.

When SW Louisiana doesn't want you, that's a new low.

When you look at Napier’s body of work I think he realizes he may not be any more effective that Moorhead. We did beat his team. That also goes for the Arkansas and OM jobs. He has it made at U of L and makes more money than he and his wife can spend. Why risk all of that?

The Bulldogs will get the level of Coach they deserve or he’ll leave on his own if they accidentally pick a miracle worker. #hell=state

Mullen turned down job after job until his dream job was offered. They made the same mistake Arkansas did by hiring a Big Ten coach. The difference in styles are way more pronounced than when Saban left Mich St.

Apparently Houston Nutt is itching to get back into coaching and he does have experience recruiting to Mississippi.

Cohen should have been wheels up on a plane headed to Foxborough the second the clock hit 0:00 tonight. Judge should and will be the right choice/fit.

I’m leaning to Judge also. If he works out he will be loyal to State. He was accepted at all three schools he applied to after HS. The Naval Academy, Harvard University and Mississippi State. He chose State because Sherrill let him be a walk-on long snapper. Since his playing career at State he has went on to become Bill Belichek’s right-hand man, the guy that runs practices and the team disciplinarian. If he doesn’t get hired to be the HC of the NY Giants, where he interviewed today, he will Be the 34th coach at Mississippi State University.

I think ULL played moo St this year , maybe lost to moo state by 8 points. I forgot I know I saw it some where but he comfy where he is vs going to moo state. He just signed an extension and raise a week ago at ULL I think

ULL outplayed MS the whole game but shot themselves in the foot with turnovers and penalties. Billy likes the south (vs. Arizona haha) and Lafayette, and I think he will stay put until he gets a top-15/20 type program job.

Add a reply...I dont know much about Napier BUT why would a HC who wants to be the best pass up an offer from 1 of 14 Programs in the best Conference in CFB? Obv MSU's not a Top Tier SEC school but still just look @ the door that opened up for Mullen after just a few mildly successful years @ State? He had one 10 win season in 2014 & two 9 win seasons 2010 & 2015. So realistically will Napier be offered a BETTER job down the road? I don't see Bama, LSU, UF, Auburn, UGA (top tier) offering their HC to a guy like Napier. I dont think even Tenn/A&M wld either, so what's the alternative? Just seems like MSU/OleMiss/USC-E is Best Case for a HC from a SunBelt type School & honestly I think Miss St is probably the BEST mid/low tier SEC type school he could get but what do I know, dude may end up at Michigan bc its seems like Harbaugh has just about worn out his nicest ironed Michigan~Khakis - LOL!

Dodged a bullet. Hopefully the Titans end the Patriots season tonight. The sooner Joe Judge becomes available the better.

It was only a few years ago, 2014 perhaps, that State was ranked number one in the nation by the AP. There is a great deal of talent in Mississippi. Someone could do well there despite having to recruit against a second SEC team in the state.

Hudspeth turned down better jobs when he was at ULL. Where is he now?

Napier will get better opportunities than a Moo State program that is declining fast.
