I just wish we’d put more blitz packages on the field.

Yep. Once we saw that a four man rush was going to get no pressure on the QB and he was going to pick apart the secondary at will, we should have started trying something different. Coach O talked a lot about this year how we are going to be creative with blitzes and stunts to get pressure, because we struggled a lot in this area last year. So far, not creative and still struggling. Ehlinger had 461 yards and 5 TD's. Tua and a couple others will do the same if we play the same scheme. We can't be expected to have almost 600 yards and 40+ points against every elite team.

In other words their game plan didn’t necessarily include maximum pressure on Ehlinger, and my question is why? Would love to hear the reason from our top notch DC!

Top paid for sure, top notch no so sure anymore. Still can't let go of a DC that couldn't dial up one stop at the end of the atm game last year. I know I know I should be over that, but to see his game plan of not using consistent pressure on ehlinger I don't know why he wouldn't adjust to doing that early in the 2nd half, when it was apparent we couldn't stop him with base defense.
