Good morning, Tiger fans. LSU issued an announcement yesterday that the football game at Washington next season will be played on Saturday, September 5. Apparently, there was talk about moving this game to a Thursday, but ESPN informed both schools that they will not move the game to Thursday for television.. ESPN is still expected to televise the game, but the kickoff time probably won't be known until May.

A hot topic yesterday on the Tiger Rant was whether Charles Scott is entering the NFL draft. Radio reports out of Baton Rouge indicated that he was "likely" to go pro, but those around campus have reported that he has been attending team meetings and has given every indication that he is returning.

Defensive tackle Ricky Jean-Francois has already declared for the draft and will not be returning to the team next season.

The Columbia (Mo.) Tribune is reporting that Missouri coach Gary Pinkel has targeted LSU tight ends coach Josh Henson as a possible addition to his coaching staff. Henson also serves as Recruiting Coordinator for the Tigers. He graduated from Oklahoma State.

By the way, how do you know that it's a down year for SEC Basketball? When there are no SEC teams in the Top 25 in mid-January. Arkansas is close to the top 25, as is Florida and Tennessee.

On the recruiting front, the Rueben Randle (Bastrop, LA) watch is still in full effect on the TD.com Recruiting Forum. Randle, who is the top-ranked WR recruit coming out of high school this year, is reportedly deciding between LSU, Oklahoma and Alabama.

In Louisiana High School Sports news, supatigah is reporting that the LHSAA is set to reclassify schools again, with some big name schools moving up or down in class, and some schools possibly changing districts.

Finally, in case you haven't noticed, we now have "blogs" on TigerDroppings.com. We have developed it so that anyone can host their blog on this site, and multiple users can be assigned to a blog. Think of a blog as being a message board that limits who can start threads.

We are still working out the kinks and realize that we have some work to do. But if you are interested in blogging on TD.com, please shoot me an email.

That's all for today.

I would have liked to see a Thursday night season openner. I like the idea of being the first time to play on national TV to open up the season.

As someone who is planning on making the trip, I'm glad the game is still scheduled for that Saturday. I'll probably head to Seattle on Thursday and it would be too rushed to have the game that night. Also, I enjoy spending a day or two in the area before the game is played. Although some people may think it sounds silly, I really couldn't enjoy my weekend if LSU somehow lost on Thursday night.
