Elite 2019 five-star offensive tackle Kenyon Green announced Monday night that he has de-committed from LSU and has reopened his recruitment.

The 6-5, 315-pound prospect from Humble, TX (Atascocita) originally committed to LSU back in December of 2016. He is the No. 2 overall offensive tackle in the country for the class of 2019, according to 247Sports.

LSU now has six verbal commitments for the class of 2019 with the departure of Green.

Relax people. He's just exploring. He wants to go on all these official visits and get wined and dined by the major universities out there. If he stayed committed, those universities wouldn't offer him visits. He de-committed to so these schools would offer him official visits. He's a 5 start recruit! Why even bother reporting when a kid commits two years in advance. This show is a joke. Let us know what he is doing next summer; until then it’s just nothing. Hopefully this early signing period will put the advantage back with the schools and force the kids to quit playing the games.

When you are a big time D1 recruit (in any sport) all sorts of options become available for you. With so many coaching moves recently, some or one of them may have opened his eyes to the possibility of him having a great opportunity somewhere else. That doesn’t mean he won’t end up at LSU. Some of you seem like you’re trying hard to change his love for the school also. It’s not very smart to call someone names when they could end up at LSU and being a great player.
