CHARLESTON, South Carolina – The Tigers fell to Dayton in their opening game of the Charleston Classic, 70-67, Thursday evening at the TD Arena.

Jalen Reed had a team-high 16 points, shooting 7-9 from the field. Tyrell Ward added 12 points of his own and Will Baker finished with 10 points and a team-high eight rebounds.

Nate Santos finished with 19 points and nine rebounds for Dayton. Javon Bennett added 16 points, Koby Brea had 13 and Enoch Cheeks had six points and a team-high 10 rebounds.

LSU is back in action Friday morning at 10:30 a.m. CT against North Texas on ESPNU.
