LSU is getting closer and closer to full strength and received an added boost on Wednesday.

Offensive tackle Toby Weathersby and running back Darrel Williams returned to practice for the first time this week. Weathersby was wearing a gold non-contact jersey.

Running back Derrius Guice and defensive end Rashard Lawerence were present for their third straight day of practice after missing last weeks game against Troy. Lawerence said earlier in the week that he was definitely going to play vs. Florida.

Defensive backs Kevin Toliver and John Battle and f-back JD Moore practiced fully without gold non-contact jerseys. Linebacker Corey Thompson was still in gold.

Defensive tackle Ed Alexander also practiced on Wednesday.

It is time to take the nipple out the mouth and get rid of the potty training panties. Players need to man up and play football. There is a difference in playing hurt and being injured. One is a Walmart greeter and the other is an NFL player.

That's what I'm saying. This is LSU man, you get your arse on the field and fight for your team unless it's not a possibility. I could understand if LSU was kicking people's butts every week but this team needs all the players they can get. It's pathetic that these players don't play with more pride than they have the last few weeks. They gave up against State who is getting trounced now, they play every 3rd series in the Cuse game and only played the 4th quarter against Troy??? WTF?? If I'm the HC after that State game, frick putting my head down, frick getting depressed and clamming up, I would be in that meeting room with my coaches altogether, watching the film, pointing out the effort, pointing out how easily they got whipped, and then as soon as we were done watching that chit show, we would have been on the practice field hitting someone. I would demand effort and integrity. After if there were some players who didn't know their roles, I would have told them to be there straight after class with me and their coordinator, and ask them what exactly do they not understand. After we go over it, we would all go out to practice it and technique until they had it, if they still didn't have it down I would make them return with the leaders on the team to practice it more. I would do that everyday until it was easy for them. This shite isn't rocket science. You have to demand that they put in the work that is necessary to be successful and say you'll thank me later.
