Arizona Cardinals pro-bowl cornerback Patrick Peterson has been suspended for the first six games of the 2019 season due to a violation of the NFL's performance-enhancing drug policy.

On Thursday, the former LSU star made a statement on the suspension before his foundation’s event.

WTF? It sounded like this event was held in the median of a busy boulevard.

Latest suspension!? I don't remember him ever being suspended before this! PP has always been a class act and has represented LSU and the NFL with class and dignity! One negative shouldn't shadow all the positive he has done. He's still a first ballot HOFer in my book!

I heard from somewhere that he took a "pick me up" because his diabetes was giving him fits... It sounded as if when he took it, he knew it was on the banned substance list, but whatever he took was not for performance reasons and he was sick of being sick. I do not know if that was a reliable source or not (they were talking about it on sportstalk radio - not sure where they got it from). I am not saying I believe it... however, he has been a pretty stand up dude from day one, so I am willing to sit back and see what comes of this before passing judgment. And I do give him props for making a public apology. I know he did not say much, but he did not have to say anything and instead he stood up there and said one of the hardest things to say... I'm sorry.

He talked about everything but what he did, and then his handler came and saved him from answering questions. I mean, why even bother making a non-statement like that?

Don’t care. Still a class act. PEDS should be allowed when you are over 30 in the league. Maybe 32 or 33.

Wish he could join the Saints at some point if the price wasn't too steep.

It’s football, he obviously doesn’t care other than the fact he got caught. No one gives a shite and it shouldn’t even be a violation.

What PEDs did he take? These were intentional, right?

No appeal.

Patrick Peterson makes a non-statement. I realize this is what you have to do. But man....he said nothing.

Exactly. He failed to “own it”. Never held himself accountable. The PEDs just fell out the sky into his body. Very poor example.

Did he win an award or get a 6 game suspension?

If you expected him to stand up there and cry then you are a dumbass. He handled it professionally and like he should have.

Lighten up Francis....Simply making light of the fact he thanked 42 people in his 90 second statement. Sounded like he just won an ESPY.
